President’s Message

If you’re reading this, there is a good chance you know about W9UVI.net and I don’t have to tell you about the calendar on the home page that keeps track of all of the club meetings and outings. But did you know we also have a Discord server? It’s a great place to find all kinds of good information and chat with other club members. We even have a place to buy and sell radio equipment. Equipment that you might take to a POTA activation or even this year’s Field Day!

Speaking of Field Day, It’s June 28-29 – Field Day 2025 and POTA Activation – Jubilee College State Park (US-1003) Campground (Anchor sites 14 and 15 in LOOP A). Make your campsite reservations soon! This a great chance to use the Club’s call and get on HF if you don’t have access. It’s also a great time to hang out with your fellow club members or bring friends and family out to see what this radio stuff is all about!
After Field day, we still have lots of big things going on this summer. July 23 – 3:00-7:00 p.m. join us for Emergency Expo: Shoppes at Grand Prairie. This is a great event for the kids who love firetrucks and all kinds of emergency equipment.
Midwest Superfest, Sept 20-21 at Three Sister’s Park in Chillicothe is our clubs big event. It’s open to all with tickets. Club members get in free! It takes a lot of work to put this event on and we can always use help. Super easy, just join us for one of the meetings listed on the calendar.
Hope to see you out there on the bands or in person!

Ben KD9RYH
